Summary
Kala had never felt quite...right, like she didn't belong. The feeling had been there since she was born, but it wasn't until the age of three or four when she mentioned it to her mother that she realized it wasn't normal.
The feeling got worse and worse as she aged until she was twenty-one and wondering why she bothered continuing on.
Then, before she knew what hit her, she was whisked into a world she thought to be fantasy, destined to go along on a suicidal quest in the attempt to change the fate of not only the ones she grew to love, but all of Middle Earth.

Vesemir hates traveling to Oxenfurt, as it holds bad memories of one of his own being kidnapped and experimented on by professors at the University years before. Still, he needs to access texts in the library so he pushes on. He sees Geralt’s horse Roach when he enters the city, and looks forward to seeing the man on the path. However, as evening draws near, Vesemir has been unable to locate any sign of Geralt, until he notices his scent clinging to a young professor. He follows the man outside a tavern, and overhears his nefarious plans. Vesemir knows he must act and forms a quick plan to save Geralt from the professor’s clutches. But as is becoming a bit of a pattern, maybe what is happening is not quite what it seems.Series

Summary
This is where he’d first met Jaskier, in this dark tavern in Posada. As Geralt plays his lute and sings, his heart aches at the memory of Jaskier, a painful reminder of who he’d lost.
His eyes wander through the tavern until they settle on a dark figure in the corner, sitting at the table where Geralt had once sat, a lifetime ago, and Geralt’s voice dies in his throat.
A witcher.
He makes his way over, hope blooming in his heart as he leans against a pillar and blurts out the words etched deep into his memory, words that had been Jaskier’s, once upon a time.
“I love the way you just… sit in the corner and brood.”
Or: Geralt is reborn into a world where he’s a human bard, and when he finally regains his past memories, he thinks that Jaskier is dead - until he sees a witcher in Posada.
