Summary
“Does it need to be like ceramics last semester? Do I need to drop you off and pick you up at the door again like a fucking preschooler?” Will shakes his head as best as he can, a whimper escaping from his lips. Mike grips his jaw tighter. “Speak.”
“N-no, Mike.” Yes, actually, Will wants to say. He liked it when Mike did that last semester, walking him to and from class like Will’s big, scary guard dog. Sometimes, if Will was lucky, Mike would wait in the hallway during his class, clutching some mass market paperback, spine cracked and curled in on itself. Even big, scary guard dogs have owners, Will would think as Mike stayed put for him.
In which someone asks for Will’s number and it makes Mike murderously angry.

Summary
Mike and will drunkenly sleep together after Stacy’s party.
— or —
He’d thought he was over Mike. He’d told himself he was. He’d accepted that Mike would never feel the same way. Mike wasn’t like him. Untouchable. Unavailable. A dead end. He’d made peace with that over 18 months ago when the world was ending.
But now Mike was here. And he was touching him. Looking at him like this. Like he wanted him.
And Will was too drunk, too raw, too undone to shove the feelings back down where they belonged.

Summary
"This okay?" Mike presses his fingers down, ever so slightly. Will inhales sharply and nods, but strangely, Mike isn't satisfied. Because of this, he says something so, so stupid—
"Can you use your words for me?"
Another sharp noise escapes Will. Mike stiffens, tugging his hands away as he mentally calculates the flight cost for a one-way trip from New York to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, until Will leans back into his hands with a soft sigh.
"Yeah," he says, softly. "Yeah, it's— it's good."
When Mike touches the back of Will’s neck, Will loses himself. Mike, obviously, decides to abuse this.

Summary
“He’s so—” The other boy cut himself off, hands in the air, “He knows what he’s doing! Trying to be around you all the time ever since he moved to New York and not to mention the flirting? You’d have to be blind not to notice it.”
Now Will knew he had lost his mind, “Flirting? Do you hear yourself? Mike isn’t queer, he’s the furthest thing from it. You’re just being insecure. He jokes around like that with everyone.”
Mike did, in fact, not joke around like that with everyone.
Will is conflicted as he finds himself in the middle of a rivalry between his boyfriend and best friend.
