Summary
“Vincent Oswald Whittman, Virginia 1894. Death I don’t know.” Alastor said quickly. The imp checked the information through his new computer. He nodded. “He is in Hell.”
“Where? What did he come as? What does he look like?”
“It says that his name is Vox, a television-shark hybrid.”
Alastor couldn’t breathe. He blinked a few times. “What…”
“He changed his name to Vox. Oh isn’t he the Voxflix guy? I love him, real nice dude.” The imp smiled to himself. Alastor shook his head. “No, no there must be a mistake. Vox is definitely not my Vincent. He’s not, he can’t…”

Summary
“But first,” Alastor interjected, once again looking only at Vincent. “I need you to undress.”
Vincent blinked once, twice. “What? Why?”
Alastor explained as he was lazily drawing red lines down their victim’s neck, “Let’s say I have a certain… idea I want to try out.”
He sent Vincent a look he had reserved only for that one, rather foolish man, and added, “I believe you’ll enjoy this one a lot, dear.”

Summary
When Vox proposes the idea of Alastor and he partnering up, all Alastor wants to do is laugh and decline immediately. However, he thinks for a moment before doing so; if he manages to make Vox into the strongest sinner in Hell, theoretically, his deal with Rosie could be broken. He’d be liberated.
So, instead, he accepts with one motivation in mind: freedom.
What hadn’t been in Alastor’s plans was unintentionally developing feelings for the television man. To his irritation, many factors refused to let him repress these emotions, making things a lot more difficult than he had hoped for.
or
Alastor accepts Vox’s deal with the intentions of making him stronger to get out of Rosie’s deal. In the process he accidentally starts liking him

Summary
“And of course, you’re totally aware of where you’re heading now, hmm?” That jerk was walking along with him.
“Yeah. Home,” Vox spat.
“Whatever you say, my good fellow! Surely, the forest is a peculiar choice, but it shall suit you splendidly!”
Or: Vox is one hundred percent sure that Alastor dreams of killing him, while Alastor is just trying to flirt with this strange, entertaining man in his own way.
