Summary
Satoru's ailing father gave him an ultimatum, in order to ascend to the throne, he must be wed, and put an end to his philandering days.
The council already has a pick for him, one that will keep their grip on their growing political power strong, but the choice is far less than bearable— a woman a dozen years older than him that shares his family name.
Out of time, and desperate not to become a pawn, Satoru joins in to save a failing island nation from war and famine in exchange for resource, and most importantly, a bride.

The store is buzzing with patrons left and right, but all she could hear was the desperate beating of her own heart, and the nervous breath she’s holding as she looks to the man for a reply to her absurd offer. Despite the sinking feeling, his face doesn’t betray a single emotion, and the addition of the ever-present sunglasses made it impossible for her to decipher any reactions out of him.
She’s about to apologize for the nonsensical idea when she sees a dainty hand reach for her own.
“We would love that.” Unlike the boy next to her, the little girl’s voice was animated and sweet as she clasped onto Utahime’s hand eagerly. “Gojo sucks at cooking.”
