But that turns out to be easier said than done when he finds himself drawn to her, even if falling for a human woman would complicate things even more for him. It doesn't help that she seems just as taken with him and affords him hardly any chance to pull away from their magnetic connection. But can a vampire really love a human? And is life worth living if it comes at the price of others? This story is about trauma, self reflection, growth, tender love and a running joke about a magician being too frisky.
