Something happens. The wolf hybrid's body had shifted somewhere in all that. Seemingly facing Lyney full-on now, in his direction. With a wolf's eyes and frown of his brows that appear to sadly understand somehow, spotting Lyney's mask with ease. Oh, that can't be right, Lyney's heart beat thudded momentarily, out of rhythm. As if he has been caught red-handed. Caught in the act. Caught putting on a performance.
"Now, don't stare at me like that," Lyney laughs it off. "Haha, relax. I couldn't ever tell lies to your mesmerizing eyes — even if I tried!"
That deep voice has Lyney's heart nearly jumping out of its cavity.
"Call me Wriothesley."

“You’ll be at next week’s show, right?” Lyney asks as he’s zipping his clothing back up.
Wriothesley cocks his head to the side. “Why, Mr. Lyney, do you miss me already? I haven’t even left yet.”
Lyney grabs a hairbrush off his vanity and chucks it at Wriothesley’s head, which Wriothesley catches easily. “You’re insufferable,” he huffs, but he doesn’t deny Wriothesley’s claim.

Wriothesley doesn't think much about what he's doing with Lyney, until Lyney disappears into thin air for months without a single word. The hell is that about?

Summary
"Honey, you're familiar- like my mirror all those years ago."
Wriothesley was struggling, unexplainable issues within the fortress put pressure on him until a certain magician he couldn't feel more than pity and contempt towards shows up claiming to have the solution to his problems, proposing a deal to the desperate warden who accepts under certain terms.
But hatred is weak, even the hardest of masks can break and they'll soon learn that people can change, or perhaps they were never who you thought them to be.
