Summary
The wolves come slowly, in twos and threes, circling just beyond the edge of the light. Their eyes glow ember-hot, their bodies sleek, bristling, moving with the loose-limbed grace of things that do not fear hunger, only the hunt. One steps forward, dark and gleaming, its ribs stark beneath its hide, its breath curling white in the air between them. It watches him with something not quite hunger, not quite patience. Something worse.
It steps closer.
Telemachus tries to move, to break, to wake—
And then the wolf opens its mouth.
No teeth. No tongue. Just an endless dark, something deep, something hollow, something waiting—
A voice slithers out of it, slow. A voice he knows all too well.
Telemachus wakes with a start, breath choking in his throat. -

Summary
The bus lurches forward with the slow inevitability of something ancient and mechanical, something that has carried a thousand nameless stories before and will carry a thousand more. Antinous scoffs to himself, flipping the lighter open with his thumb. Flick. A small, bright flame licks at the air, warming his fingers. Flick. Gone. It’s the only thing keeping him from smashing his own reflection with his fist. The face that stares back is sharp, bored, half-lit by passing streetlamps. He looks like a wolf with nothing left to hunt. Maybe that’s why his father hates him. Maybe that’s why he hates himself. He tilts his head back, lets his eyes drift half-closed. It doesn’t matter. Nothing does.
The bus door hisses open. Cold air knifes through the stale warmth, and for a moment, everything is nothing. Then a figure steps on—tall, lean, the kind of presence that cuts through spaces without meaning to.
Telemachus. -

Summary
Because I don't need you questioning my feelings, or knowing I was ever compared to a bloody teddy bear, or that I quite fancy pink cocktails because they remind me of summer beaches and the freedom that comes with them. No. I need to be someone you can think of when you're staring down Homelander; for that flutter of fear in your gut to settle then. Because Butcher’s here, with his crowbar and his coat and his curses. Just as terrifying, but on your side. Swinging left and right, shooting straight, boxing smart, getting money, getting shelters, getting things done.
Or: Billy Butcher broods over perils of leadership, love amidst the war, and inherent human flaws.

Summary
Every coin has two sides. The hero is seldom what he appears to be, as is the villain.
Gawain is reborn, in the midst of the war he must end if he is ever to find peace. Unfortunately, the price he pays for the wonders proves too high - and he can not help but wonder if there is anything tying him to this world. Still, he fights on, both against himself and against his enemies.
Lancelot holds on to the dream of making things right and restoring his honour. And although no one said it would be easy, Lancelot has never been one to back down from a challenge.
Wandering through the wilderness, he seeks control of his magic and his heart. Ghosts are at his heels as he tries to figure out who he is and what happened to his family. Abbot Wicklow, who may have an answer to that, plots from the shadows that grow darker by the day despite the spreading fires.
On the coasts, King Cumber lays siege to Uther's castles, shaking the kingdom's already crumbling foundations. In Caer Lluel, Arthur, Gawain and Guinevere prepare to join the fray and break some old and new curses.
And the Sword? The Sword is waiting for its hour.- Words:

Summary
When they met new people who were woefully ignorant of birds, there was sometimes the penetrating academic argument to be had about whether a songbird, particularly one who weighed about the same as two shilling coins, was a particularly masculine and appropriate soul for a soldier; these were always interesting arguments, because Harper himself weighed about the same as any two soldiers, and furthermore was extremely interested in educating people about birds.
Or,
Rifleman Harper has a robin-daemon and that’s everyone else’s problem. Who knows what the new officer has; he’s about to die.
