somehow, I fall deeper when it comes too lan qiren and wei wuxian relationship. bcs I know, deep down in lqr heart, he is pleased to have brilliant mind like weiying as his student. if only they have more chance to explain eo, as you know, a great mind is alike. if that really happened maybe the plot in canon didn't need to be that angst.. if only weiying has someone powerful enough to back him up no matter what happened 🥲

amazing fic. really really great execution. I just loved how the writer didn't have any bias towards any character. so they can really dropped all the knife with precision. the writer didn't change the character in canon too much, they still have the core from the novel, just with more mature and logic, things that in canon vanished bcs in the end of the day they still in early 20 yo and happened after the war.
reading this fic, I realized that mdzs in novel, just really really a raw tragedy, that could easily happened in real life. and mdzs is a story of the danger and the doomed from choosing a demonic cult over the orthodox way. not the story of what lies beneath the so called righteous clan and their hypocrite towards injustice.
