It was a little strange. For Kanan, the time of the Jedi and the Clone Wars was a time he always tried to forget. Sure, his time with Depa was something he really treasured, but it didn’t outweigh the negatives for him. He pushed those memories to the back of his mind and preferred to focus right here in the present.
But for Ahsoka, it always seemed like the opposite, she always seemed wistful. It wasn't like she wasn't concentrating on the now, but she always seemed slightly happier when reminiscing, if not a little sad too.

Ahsoka paused, turning to look at him, a look of mild surprise plastered on her face. Perhaps not the most eloquent way he has started a conversation.
“Ataru?” Ahsoka asked, trying to clarify what he meant. She was talking about forms, but that’s not what Kanan had in mind.
“Not that, your grip.” He made a vague gesture with his hand, flipping an imaginary blade backwards, thinking about how it would feel to hold a lightsaber that way. It seemed a little awkward, though it seemed to work wonders for Ahsoka.

Palpatine was shaking. “Anakin, I told you it would come to this. I was right! The Jedi are taking over.”
Master Windu raised his weapon at the same time Anakin ignited his own lightsaber. In one swift movement he'd cut through the flesh of Windu’s arm as the man yelled in pain, his cries drowned out by the cackled laughter of the Sith Lord who’d suddenly regained all his strength.
Master Windu screamed in agonising pain as Anakin stumbled backwards, his lightsaber dropping from his hand as horror filled his bones.
The last thing he saw was Master Windu’s body being flung out the window with incredible force . . . and then everything went black.

Anakin woke up back in bed with Padme. The chronometer by his side read that it was 06:00.
He was starting to believe that what he’d just seen had not been a dream.
