When Wednesday found Enid and managed to transform her back from her eternal shift, she was met with four words that left her panicking. "We have an imprint." Her fear led to a fallout, and neither saw the other for years.
At the age of twenty-four, Wednesday was exhausted and dealing with parting sickness- caused by upsetting her mate all those years ago. When her mother purchased her a house, that was situated beside only one other, she should have known plotting was at hand.
