Summary

“I contain multitudes,” Darius fires back, but when he looks over at Ben, he finally gets it; the realisation is sobering. The way Ben looks at him, has been looking at him. How he’d listened when Darius had pointed out constellations. The guarded tone. The hostility. All of it.
“You love me,” he says breathlessly. Ben turns his head, gaze cast to the road. He grips the steering wheel, white-knuckled, like he’s trying to choke it. Darius is near certain if it were a living being, he would.
“Yeah.”
