Summary
The one night his pseudo father puts his foot down, Bruce Wayne stirs awake with an elevated heart rate. There's dread pooling in his stomach, and every time he closes his eyes to try and go back to sleep, he just can't.
So, as any normal father would do, he gets out of bed and checks on his children to make sure they're all still breathing and alive. When it's confirmed that all of them are sleeping soundly wherever they are, Bruce goes right back to sleep.
Aka, Bruce has a nightmare and checks on his kids. God forbid he ask why his daughter is face down on the living room floor.

Her sister’s name is called at the reaping, and Peeta knows, at once, what is going to happen. He’s watched Katniss hunch over the little blonde girl for years, watched them marvel at the cakes in the bakery window, watched her hardened face relax whenever Primrose appeared. He knows it like he knows when one of his mother’s moods is coming on, like he knows which days his father will step in and which days he will leave the house and go for one of his long walks, unable to prevent what’s occurring under his roof. He knows it maybe before she knows it herself, but she gets there quickly, and is shouting, begging to volunteer before the rest of the district can even comprehend what’s happened.
He’s in the middle of planning how to best sneak bread to her family when his name is called, too.

This is an in-depth look at Peeta Mellark throughout the three books. I love this boy so much and have so, so many thought on him, so I really wanted to get some of those thoughts out.

Deaton stops him at the door with a hand on his shoulder. "For what it's worth, Stiles, you have my condolences."
Stiles shrugs off Deaton's hand. "You can take your condolences and shove them up your fucking ass."
He slams the door as he leaves the clinic.
Stiles tells Derek that a ritual requiring an act of purity is necessary to save his life, but it eventually becomes clear that this act of purity is entirely different from what Derek had initially thought.

“I am focusing! Focusing on the fact that we’ve been magically roped into the worst kind of fanfic scenario ever. You’re telling me,” he gestures between himself and Derek, “that unless we – ” He hesitates, the word catching in his throat, before blurting out, “Unless we do that, we’re both going to be in endless, agonising pain?”
Deaton, completely unfazed, simply nods. “Yes, that is the essence of it.”
