Summary
Purple gold is a peculiar type of gold that has a different color hue than regular gold. It is an unusual alloy and yet it is a precious metal, useful for creating surprising jewels. It is made of aluminum and gold, two metals that are very different from each other in quality, value, and characteristics. Just as different as Jace and Magnus are. Jace is the captain of the soccer team, the beloved and popular golden boy of the entire school. Magnus plays in a goth metal band and, along with his friends, is considered weird, extravagant, and somewhat unsociable. But are they really that different? Or can something beautiful and precious arise from their meeting, something unique like purple gold?
