Summary
There was a legend that every child was told of; a legend that held more truth than fiction. It told of two beings who developed such a strong bond that they swapped bodies. They had no idea what was happening to them, and for the next twenty four hours, they did everything they could think of to switch back. Once the day was over, they found themselves to have been returned to their respective bodies. Still confused, they determined that they were so close that their souls naturally felt comfortable sharing vessels with the other.
This was the beginning of soulmates.

Four and Six were the closest of siblings. They were each other’s best friend. They might possibly also be platonic soulmates.

“He’s not coming,” Luther says impatiently. “Let's just get this over with.”
“Who’s not coming?”
The voice sounds behind them suddenly, and all of them startle and whip around in synchronization.
“Klaus,” Luther hears himself say distantly. “You’re…here.”
Four tilts his head, bringing his hand to his lips and inhaling deeply around the cigarette dangling between his fingers. When he exhales, the smoke curls around his head like a halo before drifting into the air.
“Yeah, well, I would’ve gotten here sooner,” Four says around the cigarette. “But I just really didn’t want to.”

Number Four shows up to the funeral three hours late with an iced latte in one hand and a cigarette dangling from the other.
Or; Klaus fled the Academy the day they turned eighteen. He never looked back.
Ten years later, their father dies.
Number Four returns.And none of them quite know what to do with this new version of their black sheep brother.
AKA: Klaus single-handedly stops the apocalypse. It really wasn't that hard, so if everyone could stop looking at him like that, that would be great, thanks.

Summary
Arthur tried to find words to express his utter, complete, absolute disbelief of the situation, but nothing seemed to come out. Finally, Merlin took over.
"So let me get this straight," he said slowly "A goddess came from the sky...Told you that you had a destiny to, um, help this Emrys-"
"Actually," Lancelot cleared his throat "She requested I serve as an ambassador between Emrys and Arthur."
Merlin stared.
"Right..." He frowned "So, uh, she told you to do that and...Gave you a chicken to close the veil between worlds?"
Percival looked at the pile of feathers with a grimace as he nudged them away with the toe of his boots.
"Yeah, that about covers it." Lancelot said and shrugged "My lord, does this mean you’re going to kill me?" He asked, turning to Arthur. "Because I’m pretty sure this this crystal ball has magic in it."
Arthur wished he would have thrown himself in that damned veil when he had the chance.
Or
Instead of sacrificing himself to the veil, a goddess of the Old Religion decides to use Lancelot for the greater good of the prophecy. Lancelot...Decides to take a different route.
