“Did she know?” Lynette whispers into the silence. Father don’t hesitate on anything but this. She swallows down and covers her eyes with one arm, the other is holding her midsection. Curiosity is a curse, people would say, however Lynette is certain that it is a quality of hers. If not for it, she would never know how The Great Knave sounds like when her mind is mellowed by memories, the precious ones.
“...what?” She sounds so raw but not because she is transforming, and it makes Lynette be extra gentle while she places the blanket on her, just a little above the waist. This up close it's so much more apparent that Father is uncomfortable in her own skin. How hard it is for her to keep the curse at bay.
