Summary
Just as Eddie starts to melt back into it, the phone buzzes again. Just as loud. Just as fucking insistent.
Eddie rips his mouth away with a frustrated sound, glaring down at where the phone is tucked away. “Seriously?”
Buck cringes as the buzzing continues. “Sorry. I’ll turn it off.”
He reaches into his pocket, but by the time it’s out, the call has timed out. Buck’s finger goes to hover over the lock button to shut the device off, but then the screen lights up again. Same buzzing. Same ringtone. This time, Tommy’s face and name flash brightly on the screen.
Eddie’s jaw clenches, hand still tightly fisted in Buck’s hair. “Answer it.” He says before he can stop himself.
Buck's head snaps up to look at him, eyes frantic and expression puzzled. “W-what? Now?”
“Buck,” Eddie says, voice firm and insistent, leaning in to ghost a kiss along Buck’s cheek. “Answer the phone.”

Summary
“I’m uh—” Buck breaks the silence, glancing up as the rain starts to ease enough that he doesn’t have to raise his voice so much. “I’m Buck, by the way.”
The guy glances upward, a smile tugging at his lips. “Buck? Like the deer?”
“Buck like Buckley. My last name. It’s … my first name is Evan, but there were three in my class at the academy, y’know? So. Buck.”
Hot guy lifts his hand and holds it out for Buck to shake. “Eddie.”
Buck shakes it for what he thinks is a totally normal amount of time before dropping the hand. The warmth of Eddie’s skin lingers on his own.
“Thanks again. I’m headed to my niece's party. It’s her birthday. I’m–” He lifts his hand, glancing down at his watch. “Jesus, already like thirty minutes late. And I made the cake. And–” He leans his back against the car, grimacing. “And I-I kinda forgot to set my alarm and my apartment flooded, I just–”
He swallows thickly, sighing. “It’s kinda been a shit day. You’re saving my ass here.”
Eddie pauses unscrewing a lug nut to study Buck’s face. “It’s not a big deal, Buck. I promise.” A beat passes. “Hold your hand out for me?”

Summary
Once is a fluke. Twice could be considered a coincidence, but this is Buck, poster child for ADHD and former sex addict (self diagnosed) extraordinaire. This is a pattern, and Eddie is already thinking about how he can use this little quirk to his advantage.
OR: 5 times Eddie uses sex and intimacy to distract Buck and win arguments, and one time he tries and fails

Summary
The room spun for a beat before settling into dim shapes: the low gray light of early morning bleeding in through the blinds, the familiar slant of their bedroom ceiling—but none of that registered. What hit him first was the body against his.
His cheek was pressed against the top of a spine, rising and falling against his face with heaving breaths. His arm was wrapped around a torso that was moving with his own. His thigh was wedged up against hips that had just pushed back into him.
And that sound—that breath, that low, involuntary sound—it hadn’t come from him.
It had come from—
“Eddie,” Buck whispered. Voice raw, stuck halfway in his throat. He wasn’t even sure he’d meant to say it out loud.
“It’s okay,” Eddie spit, like it had come out instinctively—because Buck sounded scared, or maybe because Eddie was, too.
Eddie huffed, voice rough. “Keep going.”
Buck let out a shocked, stuttered, “Huh?”
