Summary
Buck’s not really sure what to say here, so he doesn’t say anything. For a minute they stand there in total silence, the TV muted, and looking at Eddie – the defeated slump of his shoulders, the hand over his mouth, the eyes staring blankly at nothing – it’s like those modern art installations one of Buck’s exes used to take him to: Man, with broken heart.
Man, eviscerated.
Buck’s no good with people being sad around him – it always feels like his responsibility, like if they aren’t smiling it’s his fault, and this time it really is his fault, at least partially, so he offers, “You can beat me up, if it would make you feel better.”

Summary
Buck starts coming on everything Eddie owns.
It starts with Eddie’s pillow.
Objectively, it’s not even a good pillow. Eddie bought it when he moved to LA, eight years old now, and yellowing from the sweat he sometimes forgets to wash out of his hair post-shift. It’s too flat in the middle and too high on the sides. The worst of both worlds and yet Buck can’t stop himself from sniffing it, deeply, during his turn in the bed, because it smells like Eddie.
They’ve just come off a forty-hour shift. Low coverage meets overtime to put Buck in the buzz-exhaustion of an adrenaline comedown, where his body’s worn out but his mind is still wired.
Who could blame him from indulging in this minor form of self-soothing?

Summary
"I’m not getting banned from Aquarium of the Bay because you’re horny.”
Eddie pinches his wrist. “Fuck off. You’re horny.”
Buck leans in, brushing their mouths together, a barely there sensation—Eddie can feel Buck’s breath intermingling with his. He chases it, leaning forward to close the short gap, but Buck pulls away again. Eddie chases him further, leaning into his space, stopped by a hand planted on his sternum. Asshole.
“Yeah. And you’re completely unaffected, right?” Buck asks, smug.
Eddie rolls his eyes, dragging Buck the dozen or so steps to the men's room, before shoving his pretty boyfriend into a stall. Buck pulls out his phone, scrolling for a second, much to Eddie’s displeasure. He leans in, kissing at Buck’s jaw, nose dragging along his cheek.
“You’ve got four and a half minutes, Diaz,” Buck tells him, setting the phone down on top of the toilet, an alarm counting down on the screen. “Come in my mouth before the timer goes off, or you gotta wait till we get home.”
Jesus Christ. “Guess you better get to work then, huh?"
OR 5 times Eddie has to come within a time constraint + 1 time Buck does.

Summary
“What do you want from me, Eddie? What do you want?”
“I want to know why you’re leaving.”
Buck’s eyebrows twitch, mouth tugging downward. “I can’t sleep in your bed anymore.” Fiddling with his napkin, he adds, quietly, “What am I supposed to do when you get a girlfriend? Sleep on your couch for the rest of my life?”
Eddie does not understand. What does any of that have to do with Buck?
“I’m not seeing anyone, Buck.”
“Yeah,” Buck says, voice fraught. “You’re not.”
Eddie gets the feeling he’s missing something. He stares at Buck, searching his features, looking for what it is. What will make Buck stop looking at him like this, like Eddie’s being mean on purpose? Like he’s saying all the wrong things?
Or: Eddie has changed. Buck likes him like this, too.
