Summary
“Hey Eddie?” He hears Buck say from behind him, breaking Eddie out of his thoughts. He turns, and there, down on one knee in the middle of his dust caked attic, is Evan Buckley, with a ring.
“Yes. Yes absolutely.” Eddie gets out before he can even really think about all the logistics of what he is saying.
Buck’s face falters for a second, his questioning look from before turning to something more confused, before looking down at the ring. His face does something weird then, a look that Eddie can’t describe even after 7 years of knowing him.
“What?”
“Yes, I'll marry you.” Eddie says, nodding, a grin spreading on his face.
---
Or, Buck and Eddie get engaged. It's years later that Eddie finds out it was a surprise for both of them
(Written about the season 9 still that came out today(yesterday?) of buck kneeling in an attic(?) with what looks like a ring)

Summary
Buck had always been a tactile guy — handsy, affectionate, maybe a little too comfortable in Eddie’s space. But lately, something’s shifted. It starts with a tight tank top, a pair of fitted pants, and the dangerous curve of Eddie’s waist.
Buck tries to play it cool. He fails spectacularly.
Between waist-grabbing, lingering touches, and a growing obsession he can’t explain, Buck’s losing the ability to act normal around his best friend — and Eddie’s soft whimpers aren’t helping.

Summary
It was a truth universally acknowledged—at least within the firehouse—that Buck was in love with Eddie.
Well, maybe that meant it wasn't exactly universally acknowledged. But everyone at the one-eighteen knew, and that was close enough.
Okay, that also wasn't quite true.
Eddie had no idea.Series

“I’m not in love with him,” Buck said, then drained his glass of wine and reached for an immediate refill. “I don’t know him, and he’s a parent to one of my students.”
“A little crush never hurt anyone,” Maddie said lightly.
“If it didn’t hurt, they wouldn’t call it a crush,” Buck replied.

Summary
Sometimes, Eddie feels so guilty that he throws up. He doesn’t mean to, but it’s like all the guilt and shame in his stomach overflows until he can’t contain it anymore, and it spills out of him.
When he spends time with Buck, the guilt is there too.
It’s there when he avoids his touch, while he pretends not to see the hurt expression in Buck’s face. It’s there when he tells him that, really, he’s fine. It’s there when he asks Buck to play basketball or watch some football with him instead of letting himself just listen to him ramble for hours and hours.
It goes to sleep with him and wakes him up in the morning. It creeps itself into every corner of his body, and eventually settles under his skin like a second layer.
Or; AU where Buck and Eddie meet in middle school and quickly become best friends. But as they grow up alongside each other, their dynamic evolves more and more into something Eddie is not quite ready to face.

Summary
“Eddie,” Hen continues, clasping her hands together. “You’ve been... how do I say this? Uh... ‘pulling a Buck’ ever since he started looking for a new place.”
“Pulling a... what? What the hell does that even mean?” Eddie asks with surprise and, also, some indignation because he doesn’t like how Hen is using Buck’s name in a way that does not sound complementary.
“You know, like when you were moving to El Paso and Buck was all... you know, extra ‘Buck’.” When Eddie only looks at her with an unimpressed face, Hen shakes her head and adds, “you two are not normal about each other.”
________When Buck starts looking for a new place to live, Eddie starts feeling some kind of way about it, and his behavior, as Hen helpfully points out, is quite reminiscent of Buck's own when it was Eddie moving out.
A bit of a role-reversal from 8x09-8x10, now with Eddie spiraling over Buck moving. -

“Did you?” Buck said, his voice coming out higher than he had expected.

Eddie’s eyes widened. “But what if it does mean something?”
Buck frowned. “Eddie, you’re straight.”
“I know,” Eddie said.
