La culpa empezó a roerla por dentro, y una ansiedad subyacente se sumó a ella. No quiere ser vampira , se recordó a sí misma. Normalmente Rebekah enterraría su culpa bajo sarcasmo y evasiva, pero le resultaba difícil invocar esa personalidad con la frágil mano de Elena en la suya, y en cambio estaba inundada por el miedo de que Elena eligiera la muerte en lugar de la inmortalidad. Su mano se apretó un poco más alrededor de la de Elena, como si abrazarla más cerca pudiera convencerla de quedarse.
