Summary
Right before she left Paldea to go to Kanto, Liko had managed to trip and fall down the stairs. Surprisingly, she came out unscathed. Not the best way to start a new chapter of her life, but she’d have to move on and forget about it.
So Liko was somewhat ready to start her new school life at Indigo Academy.
She met her roommate, Ann– who was really nice and energetic– and the two girls met their new partner Pokémon, Sprigatito and Oshawott respectively. Though Liko had to chase Sprigatito around the school the first few days, the two did eventually get along! The girl spent her time studying, doodling, and observing Sprigatito.
So everything was going well, right?
It should be.
Not when there's a boy floating and following you around– which only you and your Pokémon can see.

When Roy held out his hand, Ed hesitated for a long time.
This could be some horrible ploy—some last-ditch effort from his stupid social worker to get him into a house that could deal with him. Roy was a police officer. He was a war veteran. He knew how to get people to do what he wanted.
On the other hand, Edward knew Roy. He knew how he liked his coffee and that sometimes he liked to procrastinate on his reports and that he liked to shoot goo-goo eyes at Riza. He knew what Ed’s favorite books were, and he knew about Al. He knew, intimately, what Ed went through.
Ed reached out to grab Roy’s hand.

... Still, there she was, curled up on the floor of the observation deck and jumping at shadows all because of a little bad dream. Barely anything had even happened to her. She got her memories and her pendant back. Everything was fine.
