Katsuki doesn’t know why he’s so fucking bothered by it to begin with. Fuck if he knows why he feels like throwing a goddamn tantrum over the fact that Deku’s got a boyfriend.
Maybe it’s 'cuz Deku was fucking three years old, once upon a time, messing with Katsuki and Eijirou’s shit. Ruining their sandcastles and being an annoying little nuisance. He was forced to watch Deku, 'cuz he was Ei’s baby brother and if Katsuki wanted to hang out with his best friend, like ever, then Deku would just have to be in the fucking corner somewhere, dampening the scene, like the stupid little fuck he was.
Deku’s hardly even sparing a glance at him right now, though, and he hasn’t fucking asked about where Eijirou is, not even once.
“I just—” and Katsuki really is pacing now, fingers tangled in his hair. “You shouldn’t even have a boyfriend right now, Deku. Not at your age."

Summary
Katsuki drank until there was nothing left. He was laid back down, and only then did he open his eyes again. His vision was still hazy, but he could determine the person next to him was definitely a man. Big green eyes gazed down at him, but they began to swim in and out of focus as the medicine took effect. The intense, throbbing pain across Katsuki’s body dulled down, and he slid his eyes shut to let sleep take him again.
He fell asleep to the faint feeling of fingers brushing through his hair.

Izuku had grown used to his quiet life deep within the forest. He fled his old town years ago and resigned himself to solitude, which was something he learned to accept and make peace with over time.
That was until he stumbled across a mysterious man, unconscious and hurt not too far from his own secluded cottage.

“What makes you special?”Izuku flinched at the suddenness of it. His train of thought derailed completely as he looked up, startled, to meet her eyes. “E-excuse me?”
Mitsuki exhaled, pushing her chair back and standing. The papers in her hand fluttered slightly as she paced the length of her office, heels clicking against the floor. “You’re a beta,” she said, scanning his file. “Good grades. Good university. Excellent references from previous employers.” Her tone was even. “But there are hundreds like you, Midoriya. Hundreds of betas who would kill to have their name on this file. So I’ll ask again: what makes you stand out?”
