  1. Summary

Thorin's desire to help his nephew, Fili, who is suddenly become blind due to an accident, brings him to Bag End Bookshop, and unknowingly, changes his life, and the lives of his nephews, forever.

Bilbo has been legally blind for all of his living memory and completely blind for less time. He has adjusted (though he has moments of insecurity) and, despite this, is not allowed to chose those he romantically pursues as he has a knack of falling for people who will harm him.

When Thorin walks into his bookshop, he can't help but start to fall for the voice.

These are the tales of Bilbo Baggins, the children that he's adopted (both literally and figuratively), Thorin, Fili and Kili, and the rest of the Company (though not entirely as the Company), as they learn, live, and love.

Or also: Death is attached to the Winchester firstborn and he tries to show it in his own way.

    Summary

    “Where am I?”

The man startled, looking up at him with wide eyes. “Shit.”

John knew that face, even if he didn’t know every wrinkle and scar on it, he knew his son. “Sam?”

"Dad,” Sam said, looking down at the book, then up at him. “Uh, look, I can explain.”

“Explain quicker,” John said, lowering his gun, but not clicking the safety on.

“Short story? You’re… a memory.” Sam winced.

    “What.”

“Dean and I were hunting a Baku, someone summoned one to feed on their negative emotions, but it got loose and started feeding on good, bad, any kind of memory it was hungry for. We were looking for a spell to trap it, but, uh, our Japanese isn’t as good as Bobby’s apparently and Dean had disappeared somewhere in his memories with a Baku on his tail. I’m trying to… to pull him out.”

“And you pulled me out.” John’s eyes flicked down to his journal, open on the table.
