“Sleep. I watch,” he warbles from his post at the door. The first thing he’s said to me in hours. We haven’t talked about anything yet, aside from his pushing to prove I wasn’t hiding more contraband. I scowl at him.
“Don’t want to.” I feel like one of my kids with the level of petulance that seeps into my voice. I miss my kids. I miss having a place. I have a place here, I need to accept it’s just… Different. Still, I’m not gonna listen to Rocky right now.
Rocky grumbles at me. “Scientists say Grace hasn’t slept in 32.6 hours.” Jeez, has it really been that long? I don’t think I’ve had an all-nighter that bad since college. “Cognitive impairment begins after only 24. Bad decisions, dangerous thoughts like you mention. Why you are sick.”
“You left me.” I didn’t mean to say that. Too late.
or Grace is having a hard time adjusting to life on Erid, and it only gets worse when Rocky disappears. They work it out.

The night lay still and silent as Leon pulled into his driveway, the porch light shining in sharp contrast to the oppressive dark. The faint glow of the living room peaked from the behind the blinds, a fortunate confirmation that Chris had made it home before him.
He twisted his keys out of the ignition, slumping back against his seat before gripping the wheel like a lifeline, desperate to have something to grasp in his trembling hands.

Summary
After Sokka and Zuko return from the Boiling Rock, the conversation somehow turns to lightning. They don't intend to open up a door to the clusterfuck that is their resident firebender's past, but it turns out that lightning and bloodbending have more in common than Katara thought. She's still angry, and hurt, but a glimpse into Zuko's past, surprisingly, helps her see a way to put one foot in front of the other.
