Supernatural au [inspiration taken from 'The Walking Dead' and the Endverse episode from Supernatural] , featuring a slowburn romance between Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak as they try to keep their camp alive.
The characters are loosely based off of The Walking Dead characters, however obviously the names and backgrounds are slightly different to line up with the Supernatural characters.
So far, I haven't really planned much besides the general plot of season 1, but we'll see where this goes.

Even with Gabriel rejoining the fight, being their ace in the hole, it was still going to be a long shot that they could win. Even if they could save the world, save humanity, Sam Winchester might not make it out. He was...okay with that. This was his mess to clean up and he would do it. He would make this right, however he could.
Yet, in the meantime, Gabriel was working on a way to save him.
Even more incredible? Despite everything happening...there is a glimmer of hope. Of love. If only it could be accepted.

Things go a little sideways and Sam finds himself with a child version of Dean on his hands, and a scramble to fix it. When they find the source, Sam doesn't like what he hears, but they get through it together, confronting every hard truth Dean managed to hide from Sam, and everyone else, for so long.
When Dean gets back to how he should be, the story will follow through the show, with changes based on how the events of this case would shape them.
Technically starts before the third season, inserting a case before the one in the first episode.
