    Summary

An explosion at the Orlando PD draws the BAU into a case built on buried evidence, corrupted systems, and violence. What initially looks like a contained incident quickly expands into something more deliberate—and far more unstable than expected.

Some things don’t stay buried. Some minds don’t stay whole.

As the BAU closes in on an UnSub who is always one step ahead, Spencer begins to lose confidence in the only thing he has ever truly trusted: his own perception. Clues blur at the edges. Time slips in small, unexplainable ways, and when the team starts to notice that something is wrong, the line between what is real and what isn’t has already begun to fade.

Because something is building beneath the surface of it all. And it is not staying quiet.

    Summary

    In 2006,
Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, and Max Mayfield were kidnapped by Henry Creel (during the season four finale) and taken to the Creel house, a supremacist alpha cult (not within one's memories, as the Upside Down doesn't exist) deep in the woods near Indiana, USA. (Henry is a purist psychopath searching for his own religion.) The house is protected by a large forest full of dangerous animals and a large stone barrier. There, he continually brought them kidnapped children from various parts of Indiana, in addition to his own children with Steve (Omega), and threatened Robin (Beta) and Max (Omega), giving them a very disturbed family life full of pain, abuse, and fear.

Meanwhile, in Hawkins, as in most of the United States, children have been disappearing. Nancy, Jonathan, Eddie, and the party continue searching for the missing children: Steve, Robin, and Max.

A few days after Holly Wheeler's disappearance, the FBI is contacted because the first disappearance was in Hawkins.

It's a bit dark, so read with caution.

“But we’re gonna come and visit you anyway, big guy,” Eddie adds.

“Sure. Just, ah…don’t expect much in the way of entertainment,” Steve grumbles.

“You can just sit there and look pretty, how’s that? Won’t be hard for you,” Eddie replies, smooth.

    Steve’s cheeks heat up again.

A traumatic brain injury leads to a downward spiral for Steve. He's dropped from the Blackhawks, his recovery is slow and rocky, and he's got no idea what to do with his life.

Enter his old friends, Eddie and Dustin, who spend their time poking around decrepit haunted locations filming for their YouTube channel. Steve doesn't really believe in all this ghost stuff, but he's got nothing better to do than join them.

Besides, he might just be ever-so-slightly head-over-heels for Eddie Munson.
