Summary
Laudna adores her job and adores her life. If she has to stay a little bit in the shadows to enjoy it safely (baked good enthusiasts could be suprisingly judgemental), then that is quite alright with her. And if she uses her craft to work through some former life traumas, then that is between her, the evil necromancer lady that used to live in her head, and her refusal to see a therapist. It's not as if anyone in Marquet would ever make the connection between her silly pastries and some tragedy, that happened like thirty years ago in a tiny city-state on the other side of Exandria...right ?

Summary

Summary
Imogen has, in all the time since her fathers death, never thought about leaving Gelvaan. Her life might be hard, she might be alone and the entire town might hate her, but that does not change the fact that this is Imogens home!
Laudna was never planning on driving towards Gelvaan, but when the beautiful woman you want to be friends with asks you so she can go see her boyfriends, what can a woman do but say yes ?
Both of their lifes are never the same after Laudna encounters a beast in the woods.

Laudna had opened her eyes one day only to find out that she'd died...multiple centurys ago.

Good thing they have eachother then, its time to actually live, find friends that will become their family, and find out more about eachother in the process.

Mira's brows twitch.
"I… I know now isn't the time, but I'm realizing that actually I haven't seen you get sick. Like, ever. Is that—"
"A demon thing?" Rumi whispers. "Probably. Celine always said I had a strong immune system."
Mira makes a face. One that Rumi would've struggled to decipher even if her vision wasn't so blurry.
"Celine… knows?"~
In the immediate aftermath of Namsan tower, Rumi wakes up the following morning sick as a dog. Zoey and Mira help her through it, while also confronting their emotions and assumptions about the events of the last 24 hours.

Summary

Ranger Ryu Rumi, former pilot of the legendary Mark IV jaeger Demon Song and a survivor of the Jaeger Program's golden age, before everything went wrong and the war turned against them, has paid that price. Once the pride of the Shatterdome, now she's scarred and alone, and the sheer weight of the loss has her resigned to that fate.
So failed cadets Mira and Zoey, humanity’s last hope, have no place in her lonely world. But with the Breach growing more active again, Rumi is forced to return to the Shatterdome to teach them how to love what she lost, and to hold on to each other harder than anyone outside of the Drift ever could.
