When Uncle Vernon stops for petrol in some town called Cokeworth on their way back from a forced-upon-Harry trip to Aunt Marge's farm, Harry decides to indulge himself in some fresh air while Dudley bullies his parents for more snacks for the road.
His peace and quiet get quickly interrupted, however, by a strange man with a basket full of violets attached to his bike and way too much interest in every single secret Harry has ever held dear.

It's the beginning of second year and there's something off about Harry. His friends have noticed, his classmates have noticed, hell, even Severus Snape has noticed. Meanwhile, some new information has come to light that leads to Dumbledore asking something of his Potions Master, something Severus isn't quite sure he's qualified for. Nevertheless, Severus attempts to protect Harry from the threat of outside forces and maybe even face some demons that are a little closer to home.

Harry potter is sad and his daughter notices no matter how well he thinks he's hiding it. She doesn't know what to do to help her Dad until one day while playing in his study, she finds a stack of letters addressed to a Severus Snape but were never sent. She reads them and thinks that this person can help her Dad so she writes her own letter asking for the man's help. She sends it.
