Phainon, please, Mydei groaned mentally, feeling himself irreparably falling into the abyss, just for one fucking day, don't be so perfect.
Because Mydei was absolutely certain: just this morning, he had loved this insufferable idiot to the absolute maximum of his capabilities. But right now, looking at that stupid glitter on his face, he realized that there was simply no limit to this disaster.
Mydei would burn the world down for Phainon. Phainon would sacrifice his own happiness for Mydei. And the Central Hospital Security Department (along with the Head Nurse) is ready to chip in for a hotel room just to make it stop.

Mydei’s hand rose, brushing a stray lock of white hair from Phainon’s face with surprising gentleness. “They can. And they will. Because some keys were never meant to be withheld.” His other hand found Phainon’s waist, resting there lightly. The scroll forgotten between them.
“Then I guess I’m staying for more than one visit.”
“Good.” Mydei’s voice dropped lower, warm as the lantern light. “The library has waited long enough for proper company.”
