Eddie's breath catches on a sob when he tries to speak. It takes him a couple times but eventually he croaks out “You won't believe me.”
Fuck. That can't be good.
The five of them all trade wary looks. This is it. The point of no return. Once they hear what Eddie has to say, they can't unknow it. Once they hear it, it'll become their problem again. They had barely made it through last time, who's to say they all walk away this time?
