Cheery, lively, warmth of the party Luz seems to be going through something, Amity worries. They’ve only been dating for a few months but she's been noticing that something’s up. It’s the way her laugh sizzles out a second too soon, the way her grin doesn’t exactly reach her eyes anymore.
Unbeknownst to any of her friends, Luz has bipolar disorder and senses all too well the new descent into a depressive phase. Trying to mask it, wanting to stay the person everyone knows her to be, she struggles secretly, and just can’t seem to let anyone in.

Amity never asked to be engaged to Luz Noceda. Okay so it was technically a fake engagement, but still, it was a pain in her her ass. How was Amity to know the one time she listened to her siblings it would lead to a viral video, pissed off parents and Luz moving into the Blight Manor?
In her parents attempt to save Amity's reputation when a video is sent around of her and Luz kissing at a house party, they manage to push the youngest Blight to such an extent, the only logical solution is rebellion. With the influence of new friends, Amity finally allows herself to live a little and become the person she truly wants to be. But self discovery can be harder than it looks, especially when hiding a secret from those closest to you.
