    Summary

The gentle pitter-patter of raindrops echoed below the tree. There were beautiful ribbons tied along its branches. Variations of pinks, blues, and purples. They almost weaved through the wet leaves. Rumi couldn't feel the soft drops land gently on her face, dripping down into the dirt below her.

Rumi just felt cold. She didn't even mind feeling cold.

Because for all the times the sky has cried for her, this is the only time it has ever cried softly.

    Or

Rumi loves the rain. The rain loves her when no one else does. Mira and Zoey find Rumi after days of not seeing her, but this isn't what they expected. Rumi was long gone. She was cold and wet. There were wet leaves stuck to her face, and mud caked on her clothes. Her lips were almost blue; that's how cold she was.

But Rumi wasn't ever coming back to them.

It didn't matter how loud they cried. She was gone.

    Summary

“I know, I know it hurts, but you can do it! I got you jagiya.”

Mi-yeong’s knuckles were white with how hard she was clutching Celine’s hand. She was screaming and crying. She was pale–her braid was messy and unraveling, her skin was cold–clammy. But she felt entirely too warm. The soft sprinkles of rain practically evaporated as soon as they fell through the dense canopy they were sitting under.

Part two of "Soft Raindrops and Wet Leaves"

Celine's point of view when she was raising Rumi and training the girls, and featuring her experiences with the Sunlight Sisters.

You don't HAVE to read "Raindrops and Wet Leaves," but you should because these two reflect off of each other.

    Summary

Gentle fingers brushed through soft black and pink hair. A soft, whispery voice lulls her girls to sleep.

It was a song that Zoey showed them. One she listened to when she was feeling sad. It felt like the warm jjigae that Rumi would make her when she was sick or crying. Hearing it from her girlfriend's lips made her curl up and sob quietly. Holding the warm body tighter against her.

Hearing such a soft voice made Mira break. She didn't deserve such softness. Not after what happened that night. But her girlfriend gave it to her anyway. Between a soft melody and even softer caresses. Mira curled into the warm body beneath her. Holding her tight. One of her hands clutched Zoey's.

    "Close your eyes."

    "Have no fear"

"The monster's gone, he's on the run."

    "And your girlfriend's here."

    "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful"

    "Beautiful girls"

    Or

    Aftermath of Idol Awards.

Rumi can't sleep. Mira and Zoey don't want her to leave, though.

That's how Rumi found herself sitting up against the headboard-her girls curled up in her lap.

Rumi shows that she won't leave them by singing them to sleep.
