Anthony Bridgerton did what any other family of means would have done when Penelope Feathering lost her father and the unfortunate circumstances that came with it. He offered to sponsor Penelope for two seasons if Portia agreed she could stay with the Bridgertons. He hadn't expected how easily she would embrace the Bridgertons, or how quickly she would blossom from the wallflower she once was. Penelope Featherington was one of a kind. He wasn't sure when she stopped being Penelope Featherington, best friend to his sister, and became somethign more. He wasn't sure if he could fight the attraction that had taken root in his heart.
