In hindsight, Ritsu probably should have learned to at least use the peephole before opening the door by now. Being jump scared by Sho that first time he showed up at his house might have made him a little wary, but there were so many other things that were happening in that moment, it hadn’t stuck. The doorbell had rung right as his family was preparing for dinner, and the police escorted Shigeo down to the station to inquire about the hit-and-run accident he was involved in. That's all it was supposed to be.
Except that Shigeo Kageyama never turned to the house that night. Or any other night after that.

TLDR. Shigeo gets tortured by the government, I bless Ritsu with trauma, Teru's parents never come back, Sho has nothing after the fall of Claw, and Reigen gets to adopt everyone because I like that shit
