He helped, sometimes, a tentative relationship at best, carefully keeping his identity hidden from fear and guilt and all round panic at the thought of the Batclan knowing he was Jason. Knowing he'd broken Bruce rule. Knowing he'd shamed the role of Robin-
And then he saves Tim Drake's life.
AKA Jason saves Tim and then ends up almost dying from untreated burns, sepsis and a fever. Somewhere along the way his identity gets revealed.
