Summary
Amy is a monster hunter. It's her job to kill the troublemakers who try to disrupt the human world and to keep people happily ignorant of the supernatural wars being fought around them. So when she discovers a young adult changeling that thinks it's human, she isn't quite sure what to do. It isn't harming anyone, but it's a potential loose cannon. After two years of careful observation, she thinks she's found a good use for it and decides to adopt it.
Austin didn't ask to have his transformation powers. He just wanted to live a normal human life like everyone else. Unfortunately, his captor isn't going to allow that. She calls him a changeling and keeps him locked up in her basement. Can he escape before he loses his humanity and sanity?

I thought the ending was a little abrupt and didn't resolve enough of the character arcs, so I started imagining how things would develop for some of the more interesting minor characters. One thing led to another and now I've got this fic in my head.
