Summary
After his death-defying stunt in Svartalfheim, Loki is pardoned for his crimes and given a chance to return to Midgard and help the Avengers find his scepter. His only goal is to get out of Asgard and he certainly has no desire to make friends, but there's something about the Black Widow...
Steve's had an interesting time adjusting to the 21st century, but it's been a bit easier since the Invasion of New York. If it was good for one thing, it was that it introduced him to Natasha Romanoff, his best friend (whom he sorta-kinda made out with on a mall escalator and whom he would very much like to do that again with).
Needless to say, Loki and Steve don't exactly click.

‘Yeah and this isn’t one of them.’ Clint scowls.
‘Clint, it’s a child.’ Steve reasons.
‘Magic demon child.’ Clint grumbles, wincing when Natasha elbows him in the ribs.
‘I’m afraid I don’t have much time, I have to return to Asgard. Are you able to provide sanctuary for him while we figure this out?’ Thor says, an uneasy expression on his face.
Tony can’t say no to those puppy dog eyes. ‘Course we can, Big Guy.’

While waiting for his punishment, Loki is turned back into his ten year old self. To protect his much younger brother from Odin's wrath, Thor takes Loki to the Avengers for protection.- Language:

Summary
After Loki is sentenced to spend a decade assisting the mortal 'heroes', he finds himself settling into his new situation with a surprising ease. Though he is unsure where he stands with his (former?) family, and is still hurt by their lies, he is finally free of his glamour; can breathe, and feel, and be.
And for the first time, Loki simply has fun, enjoying his life in a body now free of aches and irritation. He practices his seidr, battles and banters and spends time with his shield-siblings, who turn out to be delightful companions indeed, perhaps even … friends.

Thor is frozen in place, his former expression of brotherly concern gone, replaced with horror.“You would-” Loki slurs, and his grin is horrible, red and desperate and painful. His body is still seizing but he’s laughing silently, a dreadful clicking noise coming from the back of his throat even as blood trickles down his chin. “You would- call this- brother?”
----Loki, gravely injured, turns blue after being pummeled by the Hulk. Unfortunately, Odin has neglected to tell Thor the truth behind Loki's birth. This causes more problems than you'd think.

Loki can speak.
His voice echoes clear as day over the intercoms. Short quips, commands and battle updates and Tony swears there is a tone even in the shortest of Loki’s statements.
„To your left, Stark, do use your eyes.“
But then they come home and he just… goes silent.
