"Talk to me already," Izuku begs, voice weighed with exhaustion like he had just run a marathon. "Just what exactly are you achieving by keeping this up? Right now and right here of all places?" he half-yells through the cacophonous gusts of wind.
A white-hot flash of anger pulses in Katsuki's vision.
He storms up to Izuku to jab a finger into his coat. "Don't you dare talk about appropriate time and places when your ass is lugging a dead fucking body with us while we're stranded in the middle of goddamn nowhere!"
As if on cue, his eyes are dragged to the rope held in Izuku's gloved hand, leading to the motionless figure hidden beneath a black sleeping bag, concealed and tied with rope.

“Kacchan, you need to tell me if you’re okay.”
Izuku felt like an idiot, ear pressed against their bedroom door, waiting. Just twenty minutes ago, he was curled up on the couch, deeply invested in a nature documentary, when their front door slammed open, and, as Kacchan would put it, Izuku yelped, like a bitch, hands immediately scrambling to pull his blanket further up his chest.
His quirk wasn’t detecting any danger from the presence, meaning a villain hadn’t decided to just knock down the No.4 hero’s front door. He squinted, recognizing the silhouette like the back of his hand. Clearly, it was Kacchan, smooth, defined muscles practically basking in the light of the hallway, but something was definitely off. It wasn’t the way his shoulders sagged. Those obnoxious gauntlets would do that to someone, and it wasn’t the scowl on his face. That was his usual Kacchan. No, it was something else, but before he could figure out what, the man strode off, the front door slowly falling shut behind him.

Summary
A spark of One for All crackles across Izuku’s neck, and then immediately dies out. Hell, he doesn’t even have the strength for that.
Katsuki clicks his tongue. “Thought so. You can’t even summon your quirk. Way to go, hero.”
Izuku collapses back to the bed, covering his eyes with one arm. The tears spill out—but he’s not sad so much as angry. Bitterness coats his tongue. “Just get your laughs in and leave.”
“I’m sorry, you think this is fucking funny?”

Or, Izuku is hit with an unusual brand of hanahaki quirk and is resolved to die when Katsuki comes back into his life. But even if he confesses, he can't bring himself to follow through with the second part of the cure and forever stain Katsuki's conscience.
