    Summary

"They're here because of me, right? Because I'm Peter Parker? Then make everyone forget I exist. Make it so no one knows who Peter Parker is."

Stephen had to bite back a scoff, "I'm sorry, Peter, but even making everyone forget you exist won't be enough. Your very existence is the problem now. To fix this, we need to- I will need to erase you. At our current state, all I could do, is make it so you never existed in our universe."

"Never exist? You mean, I-I'll die? Again?" Peter's voice trembled.

"You won't have to. I can send you to a different universe, one where Peter Parker- where Spider-Man has never existed. You won't have to die, you won't exist here anymore, but you can still live." Stephen chose to omit how low the success rate was. He wanted to give the kid hope.

    "Live a good life, Peter."

    Bookmarker's Notes

Absolutely fantastic read! This is done so well and I'm super glad that the plot has gotten out of control for the author, they admitted that this was originally only supposed to have 20 chapters; it would have been a shame if they had ended it there.

I am waiting on baited breath for when the truth behind Peter's identity reveal happens, because holy hecking what are they smoking, the Batfam is on absolute crack with their paranoid theories. Like 'give me my drink, but for the love of god, hold the LSD' levels of //are you serious right now//. I hope Peter laughs until he passes out when he finds out what they were all concocting in their bat brains.

That bit of wtfuckery aside, this is one of the more solid Peter in Gotham fics. Give it a go!

    Summary

There's a kid roaming around Gotham who looks eerily similar to one of their own. He has his nose, his smile, and his annoying ability of acrobatically removing himself from awkward situations.

So if the kid really is Dick's son, it only makes sense to bring him in, right? Peter's probably homeless, weirdly dusty, and yet strangely steadfast in his lie that his "guardian" is at home just asleep.

"He's just super tired from the trip. Passed out as soon as we got here actually. But he's at home waiting for me."

That has to be a lie. Right?

    Bookmarker's Notes

I want to like this, I really, really do.

It's told from so many different perspectives that it's a nice deviation from the norm for this genre. I also like that someone is with Peter this time (kinda, if you count being in a coma for half of the fic as being with him) and he's got Karen and creating things to help himself.

What I don't like is Dick being a massively obsessive shithead. You can't also be an enormous coward, my dude, pick one. I also don't like that Tim is constantly stealing Peter's things; knock it off, you fucking prick, seriously. And everyone is so overbearingly on top of Peter all the time.

That's a thing that I don't get about these fics, there are apparently homeless kids all over the place in Gotham, absolutely no way do the Batfam know each and every one of these ragamuffins by face and name. There's just no way for them to know thousands of hapless children by heart. And yet, as soon as Peter shows up in Gotham, it's open season on his ass because plot reasons.

Forget the trope where Dick is his dad in this universe, as it is in this one, looking like Peter could be related to someone they know is one thing, but just harassing the new kid in town because he's new is shitty behavior. At least come up with a believable reason for them to act like a bunch of obsessed stalkers because again, why are they bothering him and not the hundreds of other alley kids? Focusing in on Peter because he did something weird once is a cop out and you know it.

It's Gotham, everyone is weird there. Go find something else and stop using the easy way out.

Anyway, I want to see how this ends despite how frustrating it is to read, although I know ultimately it'll be with Peter and Tony going home.

Could be interesting, updated fairly regularly. For now at least, don't want to jinx it.

I know this is going to be romance heavy which I'm not a fan of most times, but if the rest of the story is good I can usually give it a pass. Well have to see how it goes.

    Summary

Izuku Midoriya. The middle school dropout after the sludge villain incident. Worthless Deku. He never meant to make it as far as he did, and yet, he was still holding on for something. Anything. All Might had told him his answer, so what was the point anymore? It was like screaming for help in a soundproof room, hoping someone would come to his aid.

He’d tried a year ago. He’d tried to be a hero that day, and the world made it abundantly clear he was never going to amount to anything. As soon as the sludge villain incident went viral on the news, his school caught wind of it. They’d used the excuse that he’d pushed Bakugou into the villain's path, just to get a reason to expel him. To rid him of their roster and clean their dirtied slate.

    Aldera had doomed him.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I'm all for some good angst, believe you me, but I have a sinking suspicion that Izuku is going to be an angry, brooding, stubborn asshole for 90% of this story, and it's only just gotten started!

Not so sure how I feel about that, since with the angst, I also like character growth and development. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

    Summary

Peter, now forgotten by the world, prepares to die. That is, until Iron Man shows up looking for Spider-Man.

    OR

“It’s not even Bucky's fault, really, that your parents are dead. He doesn't even remember doing it."

A voice, in the back of his mind, whispers. "It's not Strange's fault that you're alone now."

Peter continued, voice rising. "But you’re angry, at yourself, right? For letting it all happen. And now they’re gone, and you’ll never see them again, and what are you supposed to do, kill yourself over it?"

What are you supposed to do, when you look at your mentor and they see you as a stranger? What do you do, when all you are to your mentor is a a jumper to save before continuing on to the people he cares about?

"I lived with it." Mister Stark's reply was gentle, infuriatingly so, and it angered Peter. The older man would never understand, would never stop being better than Peter could ever be. He just... lived with it.

    Peter couldn't live with it.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I'd had this saved in a favorites folder for the longest time and only just recently decided to go through it and read updated fics (and place possibly abandoned fics in a folder aptly named).

I'm glad that this one is still receiving updates. It's so well written and poignant. Poor Peter can't catch a break, but Tony will get him the help he needs because he flippin cares. 💕
