Summary
Huang Shaotian watches Yu Wenzhou beat the Captain multiple times in a row and is forced to come to multiple, increasingly uncomfortable realisations.
First, and most obvious, is that Yu Wenzhou is nothing like the dead weight that Huang Shaotian has spent the past year or so thinking; she may have slow hands—Huang Shaotian is trying hard not to think about the other things she's said about Yu Wenzhou's hands—, but her mind is probably quicker than any of them, maybe even Huang Shaotian. What she lacks in reflexes she makes for in sheer calculation—Huang Shaotian's pretty sure the only person who'd be able to trap the Captain like that besides her is Ye Qiu, and she's Ye Qiu, which is self-explanatory. The fact that Yu Wenzhou, a trainee, was able to do it, makes Huang Shaotian think about how terrifying she'll probably be when she's not just a trainee.
The second thing that Huang Shaotian realises is that, actually, Yu Wenzhou is pretty cool.

There was the sound of the door shutting. A few footsteps.
“She’s not here?” the voice asked.
Zoey dropped her voice lower, almost conspiratorial. “No. She went out—probably won’t be back for, like… fifteen, twenty minutes.”
A beat of silence. Then a quiet chuckle. “Good. Then I can steal you for a while.”
There was a nervous little hiccup of laughter from Zoey. “Wait—don’t get too close, I’m still live—”
“I’ll stay out of frame,” the voice promised, tone coaxing.
The sound of a hand brushing fabric, then a soft shuffle—the mic catching the rustle as Zoey was pulled slightly sideways. A faint smack of lips meeting. Quick. Too quick to be mistaken.
Chat slowed to a crawl.
