“I just… wanted to check on you. You seemed off,” Ghost sounds unsure of himself, like he’s feeling around a dark room for the light switch.
Soap doesn’t respond for a moment. Internally, he feels like rubbing it in the face of that voice that isn’t quite his. But he can’t find it amid the insecurities already clouding his head. When he realizes Ghost is staring at him nervously, he speaks again, “Uh, yeah. I guess it’s been a rough few days.”
