Summary
Robert loved his father, he really did. But the only thing which could make the destruction of the Mech and his entire legacy worse, Robert decided, would be if his dad was here to see it. He might be temporarily retired as a superhero, drowning in thousands of dollars of credit card debt, fighting through chronic pain, unable to take revenge for his father’s killer, and working as the barely respected leader of a group of superpowered assholes… but at least he didn’t have to deal with that.
Or, Robert “Robbie” Robertson II gets transported to the future to witness his son at two steps above rock-bottom. Nobody takes it well.
Except Shroud. Shroud is having a fucking field day.

Summary
After everything with Shroud, Robert decides to adopt the Z-Team. To a Mecha Man, this means forcing them to memorize contingency plans and codes in case of emergency. The Z-Team understands this is a sign of affection, but it's also really, really annoying. Especially when they actually have to use one of the plans.
Robbie Robertson hates everything about these weird heroes from the future. They're chaotic, loud, and have absolutely no sense of decorum. Even worse, the only person they'll listen to is his eight-year-old son.

Summary
His body swings like a punching bag. The tightening sensation and chafing of the chains around his legs the only thing reminding his body they existed at all. Robert had already been struggling to breathe. His lungs would scream out in pain against the weight of the organs that suffocated them if he could waste the breath. With the desperation only dying men have, Robert found himself searching for any hint of oxygen in the air as the force of Shroud’s fist sent what little air he had left out of his lungs. All he received was the taste of cheap, shitty alcohol on his tongue, the heavy must of mould in his mouth and the acidic tang of vomit hitting the back of his throat.

Robert might not have the Astral Pulse or know where it is, but he has something just as useful to Shroud. He just needs to stamp out that mind of his.
