“What happened? Come in, dude.” Chris gasped. He’d go off to find a towel, his dinner abandoned.
“‘Car broke down getting back from work, called my mom, said she couldn’t make it ‘cause the roads were bad-“ Adrian explained, stepping into his space, being considerate enough to close the door.
“‘Coworker didn’t answer my call, friends are all here- I was… the closest to you?” He stood with a slight limp, but he didn’t show any sign of injury.
