Summary
It would be easier for Vaggi to not believe in soulmates if she hadn't been created on the same day—never existed even a single moment without—Lute. If anything, they were bound together closer than most because they were, quite literally, made for each other. Even when God made Lilith, then Eve, it was as an afterthought. They were meant to act as parts of a puzzle, when they were already whole. Lute and Vaggi, on the other hand, were crafted with the purpose of being together for eternity. Sounds a lot like soulmates to her.
When life-long friends Vaggi and Lute are drafted into Exorcist training, they have to navigate a new world of blood and violence that is vastly different from the one they know. Hell's impending uprising, and Heaven's response, will change these angels forever and put their relationship to the test.
