Summary
Sonic the Werehog in Unleashed gets a bad wrap in the games, and I decided to do it justice; inspired by multiple one-shot fanfics, Sonic undergoes a transformation every night, both physically and mentally.
An adaptation to the game storyline but with a Feral Werehog out to save the world! Small tweaks and stuff to keep readers on their toes, so don't expect a story parallel to the games. We're going all out tonight!

Mikey wasn’t sure either Raph or Donnie really understood just how stubborn Leo could be. After all, Raph had been butting heads with him for the better part of a year, and Donnie was his twin. Grinding their feet into the ground and refusing to budge was kind of how this exchange worked.
But even so, Mikey could argue that they didn’t know the full extent of Leo’s sheer hardheadedness, because they never had to get him to love someone. Someone like Draxum. -

Splinter ripped his gaze away from the stomach turning scene and kneeled down on shaky legs so he could hold his child- probably for the last time. There was no point in taking Leo home to the med bay…even if the slider somehow survived the journey, the damage that had been punched into him was unsalvageable.
Leonardo Hamato was nearing the end of his life.
Splinter choked on a sob at the realisation, at the realisation he would outlive his own child, at the realisation Leo never got to truly live at all.
