Izuku’s shoulders dropped slightly.
“I asked them if someone without a quirk could become a hero.”
Stendhal-san snorted. Izuku’s shoulders nearly covered his ears. He knew, he heard it from All Might already, he didn’t need to have Stendhal-san repeat it, too-
“Obviously,” Stendhal-san said, leaning back on his arms. “Quirks are merely tools; plenty of heroes have perfect quirks and not an ounce of heroism in their blood. You’re already more of a hero than numbers 2 through 10, combined.”
Izuku could feel the tears slipping down his cheeks, sobbing at the words he had been yearning to hear for so long.
“Did they- did they not say that?” Stendhal-san asked, startled by Izuku’s reaction.

Summary
Mitsuki remembers the exact day Katsuki learned the word mine and decided it applied to everything soft, green-eyed, and freckled.
Izuku (tiny, earnest Izuku) in the sandbox is a lopsided castle with a plastic All Might flag. Katsuki stomps over, palms sparking, and plants himself in front of it like a guard dog.
“Mine,” he declares, pointing a stubby finer at the castle.
Izuku blinks up, eyes huge, and offers a shovel. “Wanna help, Kacchan?”
Katsuki’s cheeks go red. He snatches the shovel, sits, and starts digging a moat.
Mitsuki hides her laugh behind her coffee mug. Already whipped, brat.

The fabric hangs beautifully, thick and flattering without giving away the surely too-sharp ribs, and the vines sway upon his sleeves as he moves, gleaming like sun-spun glory under the many candles of the Hall. It's gorgeous. Harry is gorgeous.~~~
Theo does not know how to do things in half-measures. So when he begins to notice the little details of Harry Potter, it becomes more than that far too quickly, from asking the House Elves to send him extra food, to exchanging notes, to gifts, to, well, to quite simply more.
Perhaps even to falling in love, or the beginning of it.

Crack in the floor–” His throat seized around a cough. “C-Can’t tell how far I fell.” He pressed his free hand to the side of the mess of concrete–what was essentially going to become his coffin if Aizawa didn’t get here soon–and felt along the unyielding metal. His vision pulsed, heart beating too fast and too slow, breathing becoming harder and harder. “There’s no air,” he whispered.
Or, Midoriya ends up buried alive after a villain infiltrates a training exercise. He calls Aizawa.
