“What do you know about this man?” Anderson pulled up an image and it floated in the center of the conference table.
“Castis Vakarian, Primarch of the turians. Enemy - sorry - former enemy number one.” She answered quickly.
“And him?” The image changed to someone who looked very similar, but younger than the last turian that was shown.
“Garrus Vakarian, General of the turian army, Primarch’s son.” Jane stated.“And your new husband.”

Shepard, The Butcher, had her whole life destroyed by batarians when she was just 16. Now that she is older, she blames all races for not stopping the batarians. Can she learn that turians, especially one particular turian, was not to blame?
Garrus, Archangel, just wants to calibrate in peace. He doesn't want to fight the humans. But no one seems to understand him. Can he find a friend in the very enemy he is captured by? or maybe something more than friends.

Summary
Trying to piece herself together after Akuze, Jane Shepard decides to take some time and visit her twin brother John, a C-Sec detective on the Citadel. As she finds her way to the shooting range to blow off a little steam, she finds herself engaged in a little friendly competition with the cocky Turian in the lane next to her.
Meanwhile, Garrus Vakarian is slowly getting used to his new routine. Even though he hates his job, his new partner isn't all that bad. John Shepard is human, but he's good at what he does and believes in doing what's right...heck, he might even consider him a friend. But Garrus is also realizing that the strange girl who keeps challenging him is starting to pique his interest... in more ways than he ever thought possible.
