Summary
It started, as it does, on Harry’s eleventh birthday.
Hagrid took Harry to Diagon Alley and helped him get a wand, he gave him Hedwig, and Hagrid helped Harry to find the best gift he could: a letter from his mother.
If Harry wasn’t James Potter’s biological son, so what? He clearly loved Harry, he gave him his name and his life. And finding out that he had a biological father somewhere in the world was the best thing to happen to Harry.
Right? Right.

“Oh please, you must have realised I’d not be faithful to you.” A nasty voice snarled, just loud enough for Harry to hear.
He froze, shocked by the fact that anyone would say that, to anyone.
“So, you have summoned me here – on Valentine’s Day – simply to dump me in public?” A deep, incredibly pleasant voice asked.
Harry blinked, surprised that this was a gay break-up.
Running a hand through his hair to try to get it to lay flat, he stepped around the separating wall and put on his happiest smile as he approached the two. He almost faltered – the other man was not what he expected. He’d expected someone similar to him in age – this man was older. He was also not very handsome at all, lank black hair, a big nose, and angry eyes – though the last was, at least, understandable. Harry would be screaming by now, not just glowering.

Summary
A week he had been staying at Grimmauld Place, surrounded by the memory of his God Father and constantly being asked how he was by his friends. Harry was sick and tired of everything. He wanted nothing more than to just escape from it all. When their Hogwarts letters arrive it is accompanied by a letter from another school offering the chance for two Hogwarts students to participate in an exchange program 5-7th year only. When he asked about it the adults told him it was best that he did not apply. After all Hogwarts was safer. Fed up with everyone deciding things for him he submits the application in secret. The night of the welcome feast the mysterious headmaster arrives to cart off the two students that where selected for the exchange.

Summary
The one thing nobody ever told Marcus, about the long process to becoming a Death Eater, was how fucking boring it is. He's stuck guarding the abandoned Black place, but when Snape brings him a new task, he's put on a collision course with Harry Potter, who he hasn't seen in years.
Harry doesn't much like anyone, doesn't much like himself most days, which is impressive since he feels like he has no idea who he even is, but that's okay, Marcus likes him enough for the both of them.
Snape has his own motivations for putting Marcus on this job though, and when it comes to a head, Marcus and Harry will be forced to stay in an unfamiliar safe house together, indefinitely. Stuck with nothing but themselves, a house that hasn't been touched since the 1950s, their own thoughts, and their opposite positions in the war, what will two young men plucked out of a conflict learn about themselves and each other?
