“Promise. Promise on your life,” Nie Huaisang repeats, stepping forward to grab Jiang Cheng’s arm and he’s surprised how much Nie Huaisang shakes.
“I promise on my life, the life of my disciples and the memory of my family,” Jiang Cheng solemnly says and Nie Huaisang slumps in relief.
“Someone tried to kill da-ge,” Nie Huaisang tells him. “I need you to hide him while he recuperates.”
