Summary
Robin loudly slurps her strawberry milkshake, red straw puckered between her lips. A little leftover sits in the dip of her bottom lip.
Nancy drops her gaze to the table.
"So," she starts quietly, swallowing down her doubt—the uncontrollable skip in her chest each time their knees brush. "Are you gonna let me try strawberry, or...?"
Robin looks up at her, eyes wide—expectant. The straw falls out of her mouth.
"Or—" Nancy stumbles a little. "Let me suffer with vanilla forever."
Robin blinks. "Uh—yeah, of course. Try away. I can get you a spare straw if—"
But Nancy is already sliding the glass across the table, cool against her fingertips, and taking Robin's wet straw into her mouth.

The Upside Down is gone, but Nancy still can't sleep... unless one Robin Buckley is next to her.
She doesn't know why.

“Oh, sweet girl.” She murmurs
Robin goes still.
Because there it is.
Not just the tone, the softness, but the words themselves. Chosen. Placed. That affectionate pet name Nancy doesn’t toss around lightly, doesn’t let slip by accident. She saves it. Holds it back. Uses it sparingly enough that it never dulls, never loses its edge.
Nancy only says it when she means it. Really means it.
And she means it now.

“All of the girls I hooked up with had light brown hair, almost blonde, just like this,” Nancy imparted, twirling a lock of Robin’s curtain of dusty brown hair around her finger. Dark blue eyes in the darkened corner of the apartment looked up at her, pleading with her to understand.
Still, Robin needed to hear it, so she murmured, “What is that supposed to mean?”
Mirth flickered across Nancy’s features, but it was quickly displaced by something else, something starved.
“I mean that I think you ruined me, Robin,” Nancy uttered.
Breathing a laugh, Robin leaned into the hand on her cheek and rebuffed, “That’s a little dramatic.”
Tilting her head to the side, Nancy purred, “What if I want you to?”

Post season 5, history repeats itself between her and Nancy as they all begin to meet up in Philly. No one on earth could resist the pull of Nancy Wheeler’s gravity, Robin least of all.

“You don't have to hide it,” Nancy says. “You’re dating.” (It doesn't feel weird in her mouth, she tells herself). “You’re allowed to tell me about your girlfriend."
Robin bites her cheek and passes the bottle back and forth between her hands. “I know,” she says, small. “Guess I'm just not used to it, is all.”
“Well, consider this an exercise,” Nancy says. “Tell me now.”
She waits a long time for Robin to respond.
“I don’t really think she wants me.” The admission is barely a whisper.
“What do you mean?” Nancy wants to tell her, of course she does, how could anyone not want you?
Robin stares at her knees. “When we... mess around, she doesn't touch me.”
