Shenhe stands guard at events where Yun Jin is needed, watching everyone like a hawk ready to pounce. Sometimes she buys Yun Jin coffee, just how she likes it—not because Yun Jin asks her but because Shenhe knows she needs it. Sometimes she carries Yun Jin to bed when she’s too tired to walk from the basement to the suite.
Things are different now, and Shenhe is more than happy that they are.

Catra forces herself up onto her elbows. Part of her wants to tell Adora to quit being all avenging hero. Another part of her (a part her past self would never have admitted to) finds the avenging hero thing pretty hot.
Or
Catra gets hurt, and Adora responds by choosing violence.

A part of her felt pride in her deception, the same kind that preened at the idea of ‘protecting’ Belle. But it didn’t sit just right. A fuzzy, tickling ball in her mind, whispering that she was overstepping.
Hell, she’d only been dating the woman for going on two weeks. They’d had three dates, kissed at the end of two and made out on her couch for a few minutes once before Wise knocked on the door. It was the early stages. The by-product of two months of flirting and probing questions that was still getting its sea legs. Not to mention that the threat had been removed already. Who was she to stalk the area like some tetchy guard dog, barking at shadows like she had the right? But even with that nagging pull that all this crossed a line, it also felt strangely good.
